REMEMBERING THOSE WE LOST AND THOSE IN NEED

This is the time of year where we all come together and recognize the gift of family, the spirit of giving and bringing in the New Year. But while we are celebrating all the joy, there are a lot of folks in pain and suffering. I myself lost my grandfather this year, a staple in my family. One of the first men who took care of me and molded me into the man I am today. This was our first Thanksgiving without him and we tried to get my grandmother through it the best we could. Coming together this Christmas, we will again be celebrating a first without his smile, warmth and kind presence.

I know that this will be the case for a lot of others out there. Getting through whatever tough times they may be dealing with. This was a rebound year for most, still trying to adjust to the pandemic life. Many continued to lose jobs, homes and people due to COVID. There are a lot of people just trying to make ends meet, while some are trying to get back on their feet.

Let’s come together and recognize those going through it this holiday season and give them some sort of joy. Whether it be inviting them into your homes, taking them a meal, helping them with a gift (or five), or just calling and making sure they’re okay…everyone needs a little more love this season. Please make sure you’re taking care of yourselves as well, when you give love, you’ll get that reciprocated.

From myself, Jermaine and the rest of the PRJKT VET family, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
